CAPE VERDE & MOROCCO RELATIONS
A Moroccan delegation is currently on an official visit to Cape Verde to carry out dialogue with Cape Verdean authorities with the aim of expanding cooperative relations between the two countries.
The mission, headed by Morocco’s Director of African Affairs, Abdellatif Bendahane, yesterday began preparing a Mixed Commission with Cape Verdean authorities in order to identify concrete activities related to new and future areas of cooperation. Tourism, industry, water, security, defense, trade, micro-credit, transportation and telecommunications are mentioned on the Feuille de Route de Coopération, according to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Cooperation with Morocco has so far been focused mainly on professional training, with the Kingdom of Morocco granting college scholarships and providing internships in technical training institutions. The Moroccan government has also provided support for projects in the area of agriculture, fishing and infrastructures.
